My Yoga JourneyMy full yoga journey video is HERE on my youtube channel!
Yoga is a never-ending voyage through & with yourself, each voyage is different and unique for each person. I share my journey in hopes to inspire those who can gain wisdom from what I have overcome, and give my students the tools they need to obtain more space, strength, and imagination 🌻 Physical PracticeIn addition to my active commute, I was in The Tiger Dance Company for two years which definitely added to my imagination, fluidity and strength to my yoga vinyasa flows. Being a dancer acknowledges that my body is an art form, that I can move with emotion that are not only inspiring, but benefit me physically mentally and spiritually.
Every Body's movement is beautiful. Even the sweet release after you get into your final Savasana position, connecting with the wondrous universe that is the human consciousness. TODAYFind more on the About Page but after finding a Yoga Teacher Training program at my local community college, I started working at a small-business, woman-run yoga studio in Pasadena CA (KULE Yoga & Ayruveda). I took another 200hr YTT and have now been teaching for over three years! My trainings are a study of Iyengar and Shakti (Hatha) yoga, a blend of alignment and feminine/masculine healing.
As you practice, listen to their body, figure what areas do you feel free, and what areas you may be holding onto. Everyone is welcome, come and take a class! |
MeditationGrowing up in a small space as an only child, you tend to be outside most of the time. I found myself walking to and from school, hopping on the train, hiking, biking or exercising in local parks! For the most part, my family only had 1 automobile and I found that walking alone, sitting on the train, or biking for miles was very meditative.
I listened to music gazing out the window or I noticed the natural sounds whirring around me, and that gave me the time I needed to notice anything that was on my mind or how I was feeling. 🌻 I made it a point to keep my phone or any screens away most of the time to connect back with myself, to be able to listen to my intuition. Listening allowed the clarity to make decisions on what I needed through the day, or the strength & creativity to confront situations I was dealing with. In the long run it helped me realize my path of artistic health and wellness 🙏 Mediation is not always sitting still and focusing on the breath. I'd like to incorporate a more meditative lifestyle for everyone who thinks they cannot meditate, the trick is intention. When you have intention, more self-awareness its easier to be still and to fully immerse yourself in your breath. Asana (yoga practice helps too!) |
